The Sound Transit Express Bus service will be simplifying their fare structure. There will no longer be One Zone, Two Zone, and Intra-county fares.  Instead they will have a one county fare and a multi county fare.  One county fares will be similar to the current two zone price except for youth fares which will be 50 cents less than the current two zone prices.  Those of you that currently use the bus for only one  zone will see the biggest increase in prices at 50 cents extra for an adult fare and 25 cents extra for a youth fare.  Senior/Disabled fares will not increase.  The Link light rail fares will also change.

***UPDATE*** Haller Lake was stocked with 1500 rainbow trout on Monday April 11th.  We checked in the afternoon, and there were indeed new rainbows in the lake.

As of Monday April 11th at 8:00 AM, The Department of Fish and Wildlife has NOT stocked Haller Lake.  There was no update posted to the King County catchable trout plant reports or the trout stocking schedule. The Department of Fish and Wildlife does have a disclaimer on the stocking schedule that reads, "Stocking weeks are target dates and will be dependent on availability and hatchery schedules. Some lakes will receive successive subsequent plants to extend the fishing."

Looking at the lake, there are no obvious signs of the lake being stocked such as fish jumping or the cormorants returning. We will post an update once we see the lake is actually stocked.

Spring Cleaning Day is here again!

We are all geared up for our 10th Annual Spring Cleaning Day tomorrow from 10:00am-3:00pm! Looks like we might get lucky with the weather - but we won't hold our breath. Either way, we can't wait to see you all there rain or shine!

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife are scheduled to plant 1,500 rainbow trout in Haller Lake this week!  

Bitter Lake received 1,900 rainbow trout on March 17th.  Green Lake was scheduled for 25,500 rainbow trout in the end of February, and 638 more triploid trout in April or May.  The trout plant reports show that Green Lake received 6,000 rainbow trout on March 3rd and 6,000 more on March 29th. Echo Lake received 1,200 rainbow trout on March 14th.  Lake Ballinger is scheduled for 3600 rainbow trout this week.  Here are the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife's pages for the trout stocking schdedule and trout plant reports in our area.

You can buy your fishing license online at the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Online License Sales Page.  Also, Here are the State of Washington Fishing Pamphlet (rules).  Washington fishing licenses are not required for youth age 15 and younger.  Take your kids out fishing today, and remember to bring your life jackets!
